CityIN Developer Platform - OpenSocial

The CityIN Developer Platform (CDP) is the first real implementation of OpenSocial in China. It allows world-wide developers to easily build applications that interact with CityIN members and their friends. With CDP you will be able to create attractive new products that integrate directly into CityIN and get exposure to millions of Internet users in China.

Following the international OpenSocial standard, CDP provides a set of API for you to build social applications on CityIN. Developers can create apps that access a social network's friends and update feeds. Like CityIN, there are many international websites implementing OpenSocial, including Friendster, hi5, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Six Apart, and XING.

You can easily install your existing Opensocial app on CityIN. To streamline your ‘internationalization’ and ‘localization’ process, CityIN will try the best to act as your one-stop consultant, services may include:

1. Consultation on server hosting in China
   The Internet infrastructure in China is not a simple one. The connectivity between different ISPs is slow or unstable sometimes. Besides, you shouldn’t forget about the China Great Firewall (Do you know Blogger is not accessible inside China?). Fortunately, there are unique local hosting solutions to solve these problems.
2. Text translation to Chinese
   CityIN is NOT a translation firm, so we don’t provide translation services ourselves. But we can act as a middle agent between your firm and the top foreign language schools in Hong Kong and China, so that you can finish the translation tasks as efficient as possible.
